ICICI Bank Launches Voice Authentication For Transactions
ICICI bank has launched a new service that allows customers to
authenticate phone banking transactions with their voice, as opposed
to entering a hard-to-remember PIN or password, offering a hands-free
solution to customers.
The bank's voice recognition service authenticates customers based on
their speech patterns which will be routed through its call centres.
The tech behind the feature works on voice prints which are made up of
over 100 characteristics such as modulation, speed, accent and
pronunciation, which are almost impossible to replicate.
Over 33 million savings bank and credit card holders will be able to
avail the voice authentication service, which is aimed at improving
the convenience of banking while staying secure.
